Home Charger (Wallbox)

A wall-mounted AC charger installed at a home parking spot, typically 7.2-7.4 kW single-phase or 11 kW three-phase.

A home charger, or wallbox, provides faster and safer charging than a portable charger plugged into a regular socket. It is installed on a dedicated circuit with appropriate protection such as an MCB, an RCD and proper earthing.

Before installation, check your sanctioned load with your DISCOM. Under the Ministry of Power's 2024 guidelines, residence owners can also apply for a separate metered EV connection at the applicable EV tariff.
