Many public chargers display a QR code that identifies the charger and connector. Scanning it in the operator's app opens the charger page, shows the applicable tariff and lets you start the session and pay using UPI, cards or a wallet.
QR charging needs no physical card and works well for occasional users. Good apps show the tariff, including taxes, before the session begins and issue a digital invoice afterwards.
