Fleet Charging Hub

A depot or dedicated site with multiple chargers serving commercial vehicles such as cabs, delivery vans, buses or trucks.

A fleet charging hub combines many charging points, often a mix of AC and DC, with load management and software that prioritises vehicles by schedule. Hubs may serve one company's fleet or several fleets under shared arrangements.

Planning a hub starts with duty-cycle analysis and a power connection assessment, since grid capacity is often the longest lead-time item. The Ministry of Power's 2024 guidelines require separate metering for EV charging and allow sub-metering behind HT connections.
